Martha Driver, Distinguished Professor of English and Women’s and Gender Studies, Pace University, New York. She is a scholar of book illustration during the transition from manuscript to print, as well as of book production and the early history of publishing. She is the author of The Image in Print: Book Illustration in Late Medieval England (co-published by the British Library and the University of Toronto), and has written more than forty-five articles on these topics in addition to eighteen journal or special-issue guest editorships. She plans to co-lead the seminar session on book illustration: from manuscript to print on July 13 and will also speak to participants about their individual research projects.
