Alexandra Walsham, Professor of Modern History, University of Cambridge. She has published extensively on a range of themes related to this seminar, including post-Reformation Roman Catholicism; the history of the book; the advent of printing; the interconnections between oral, visual and written culture; and more. She has written five monographs, edited or co-edited ten essay collections, and written more than thirty articles directly related to our program. She is also co-Editor of Past and Present, a leading peer-reviewed journal which regularly publishes essays related to our program. She plans to co-lead our July 27 seminar session on Counter-Reformation printing and reading, join our rare book exhibition on July 29, and to speak to participants about their individual research projects.
