On Tuesday December 4, 2018, I volunteered in the maker space of the Explore More Discovery Museum. In my time there, I assisted several children through the process of designing and printing their own ornament. I wasn’t thinking when I signed up for the 3-5 pm time frame, and my volunteer hours ended up running into class time, causing me to miss last weeks class. Luckily, I didn’t have to miss out on my weekly 3D printing! I got a chance to make my own ornament using tinkercad. I loved the outreach assignment as I had a great opportunity to teach children what I’ve been spending all year in class learning. It’s nice to give back to the children’s museum too.
