The first thing we printed in class was during Tinkercad. We printed a Coin Trap

Then from the hat I grabbed “Fountain” so this was my take on JMU fountain that we have near the sundial. I do not have the possession of the fountain anymore but this was my trial from Tinkercad

Later with Jacob we worked on Chess board with chess pieces.

Then we moved on to Fusion 360 where we had the ring project. I test printed a few at first just to find the right size for me then I rounded out the edges as well. Then i added a cross in the front. I did not order on Shapeways.

Next Jacob and I worked on fix it project. We fixed Nic’s missing Apple Pencil’s cap. We added a smiling face as a touch of detail. We had to test print a few times to fit the right size.

Then we worked on OpenScad project. This was my least favorite one because I just didn’t really understand coding. This one was the one I designed thinking of the spaceship from Interstellar.

Then Nic, Jacob, and I was able to work in a group to create a new object using OpenScad. I was not in class the day we selected teams and I was not put into a team due to a mess up in the email. I joined Nic and Jacob late but they filled me in with their ideas and we came up with a phone stand that was able to rotate on the axis. This made it able to watch videos on your phone vertical and horizontal ways.

Our last project was design anything with any of the programs we worked with. I used Tinkercad because it was the program I was most used to. I always wanted a Supreme related items but due to their ridiculous price I was never able to afford anything. I decided to go with Supreme Key chain. I know this isn’t at all impressively designed or anything, but it was very meaningful and special to me. One is hallow and one is with words coming up.

For outreach event I went to downtown Museum to outreach for our class. I was there for two hours from 1 – 3 PM. Only kids from age 8 and up were allowed to work on the 3D printing with the supervision of their parents. At the museum they were using Tinkercad program to design their 3D object ideas. They did not use the Ultimaker or the luzbot there. The printer was much slower and much smaller as well. I had the time to make some ornaments for the Christmas tree they had there with the kids.
