For my outreach event, I visited the children’s museum in Harrisonburg. In oder to repeat the privacy of parents and children I chose not to take photos. However, it was fantastic seeing their maker space. Children could come in and create with sewing machines, pin stamping presses, weaving boards, and most interestingly, 3D PRINTERS!!

I came in and monitored the 3D print staton. The designer in charge of the maker space taught me about slicing and how to calibrate the 3D printer they had on hand. I also helped children to createChristmas tree ornaments! It was a fantastic experience!
