SCOM students and faculty welcomes the new season with a couple of exciting news:
Alumni Day Event
The picnic will consist of food, bean bag toss and music!
This will be a great opportunity for students, faculty and alumni to mingle and get to know each other.
There will also be an awards ceremony recognizing SCOM students in each concentration.

PRSSA JMU Chapter will make their DC agency visit next week. Members will have the opportunity to learn more about the PR profession as well as some of the top PR agencies.
The teams of Jacob Bosley (’15) and Elyssa Miller (’15) and Ellen Miller (’16) and Nicholas Lepp (’16) both placed high enough at the District Qualification Tournament at the University of Mary Washington this past weekend to qualify.

2014 SCOM Faculty Research Symposium
SCOM Faculty presented their research this past Wednesday for the 2014 SCOM Faculty Research Symposium. Dr. Brigham, Dr. Bodkin, Dr. Mazzarella, and Dr. Opt presented their research papers.
