The Interpreters at James Monroe’s Highland are the front-line teachers of the site’s message about James Monroe.
Interpreters provide guided tours to members of the visiting public, to school groups, and during special events.
Other responsibilities include:
Between tours, respond to visitor questions
Provide additional information about the house and grounds, as needed.
Provide provide content to school group visits, teaching about Monroe and his historical period.
