The Colonial Williamsburg Collections department is accepting applications for paid, 3-month curatorial internships. Applicants must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and have completed at least two years of academic credit or currently enrolled in a graduate program.
Applications will be accepted through 5:00 p.m. USA Eastern time, Friday, February 20, 2015.

A curatorial internship at Colonial Williamsburg is a full-time, prearranged learning experience for students interested in a career in the decorative arts, fine arts, or history museums or historic sites. Mellon Foundation interns will be assigned to work in one of Colonial Williamsburg’s curatorial disciplines—furniture, prints and maps, paintings and drawings, ceramics and glass, metals, mechanical arts, numismatics, musical instruments, toys, textiles and costumes, archaeological artifacts, zooarchaeological materials or architectural artifacts—within the broader fields of fine art, decorative art, folk art, architectural collections or archaeological collections. While we will attempt to match successful applicants with their areas of interest, placements will vary depending on the ongoing and special project needs of individual curators. If you are seeking academic credit for your internship, you must make arrangements in advance with your school and your internship advisor.

For 2015, we are accepting applications in the following areas:

Archaeology,Ceramics, Furniture, Graphics, Paintings.
