For the project, I attempted to make a ring on Fusion with just the Taurus tool and making the diameter really thin. After printing my first design, I realized that the shape was odd and I needed to redesign for the structure.  I had my idea design in mind wanting my initials on the ring band, but had lots of trouble in Fusion figuring out how to get them all on the letters on the same plane. I needed help. I tried printing one more time by adding the letters in on Meshmaker and having them stick out against the ring. The print turned out too small and the letters were illegible.

(pictures to come my camera is broken)

In class I learned that the tutorial was available which I followed to get a solid structure that isnt an awkward shape for fingers. I wanted my ring to be a pinky-ring so I made the size 17.8mm. I got some assistance and after two hours I was able to get the lettes where I wanted them on Fusion. I was happy with how this turned out.

The print below is of that design.

In Meshmaker for my final step, I smoothed down the letter’s edges for a more minimalistic apperance. I wanted the main feature of my ring to be my initals so I am happy with how it works out. In Shapemaker, I chose to make it in a cheap metal because it is a small ring with not a lot of material used. I’m excited about my progress and for the final ring to arrive!
