Idea of Creation
When I was thinking about what I wanted to do my Final Project on, I was at my grandparents house. As such, I decided to do a replica of their house. I have decided to create it in Tinkercad because I think modeling things like this really plays to Tinkercads strengths. Because the house is made basically of simple figures, I thought Tinkercad would be perfect to use. Additionally, Tinkercad is very good for finite figure creation. As such, my model was created in Tinkercad.
Tinkercad Design
I have included the back and the front of the House that I created. Additionally, I included a picture of the house that I am trying to recreate. It was pretty hard to do the windows as I had to make sure the frame came out and that you could see into the main frame windows. Additionally, the fencing in the backyard was challenging as it get it fit perfectly and align properly. Lastly, Aligning the deck in the back of the house with the table was very difficult. However, I was able to do a better job at completing this task by using the align function a couple of different times while making this house.
First Print
I had a couple of issues with my first print. First, I didn’t create a full platform for this print so when I printed it the backyard came off of the front of the house. Additionally, I printed this house with support. That created a lot of difficulty in trying to get the support out of the windows and so when I was trying to get the support out it broke a lot of the details I put in the print. As this is the case, my next print wont be printed with support and I am going to put a big bottom on the house to connect the backyard with the house. However, I was happy to see that the swing set and the table and chairs come out well.
Final Print
I changed the design of the house a little bit. I wanted to make the house so you can look into it and see different rooms. As this is the case, I made more windows that allowed you to see inside the house. Additionally, I made some accessories for the house that you can put into the different rooms. I made a bed and a toilet. Additionally, I took the bars off the windows because getting the support out without breaking the bars is impossible. Overall, I am very happy about how my final project came out. However, it was difficult still to get the support out of the windows and to not break the plants and other features of the house in the project.
