My final project was to create a model of a game character of an old GameCube game.
Here’s what it is supposed to look like:
and what I had made looks like this
So I did a good job. Sorta.
It took a very long time to make this, the school printers didn’t print it well and printing with support just gave me a huge clump of support.
What I had to do was print this out by buying it online and having it shipped here at JMU.
Even then it was pretty difficult.
I built this by looking at the above photo of it and slowly putting it together. So, in short, I made the parts separately. The head, torso, lower body, arms, legs, feet, and weapons were all separate until I put them together. I used three programs to make this happen. For the small details, I would create in Fusion360 or OpenSCAD then moving it to blender to piece it on an actual frame. It took me a while, probably around seventy something hours. I did have a couple problems making it like size and how some pieces need to be tilted or at a certain angle and if I needed to thicken the details to make it print well.
