JMU TAD Outreach Event – Sharon Din

For my outreach event, I invited my coworkers at JMU Technology & Design (https://info.jmu.edu/tad). The team of student employees are of many different majors and complete creative projects to promote the programs, services, and departments of JMU University Unions.

All participants printed items from thingiverse. Above are two of the prints; a cat pendant and a planter for a holiday gift.

While their prints were in progress, I taught them how to use TinkerCad. I stressed how they could take these .stl files to The Makery or to X-Labs and print them any time and and answered all their questions.
