First Draft Print –
Pictured above are our first draft sketches of the fidget spinner we’re creating. We learned that in order for a fidget spinner to keep momentum while cycling around, the spinner needs to have somewhat of symmetrical wings. We also realized that we can achieve longer spins by adding weights to each wing. Finally, we looked at the sketches and came to the conclusion that we can make a fidget spinner that’s a lot more visually appealing.
Iterating the Design –
The pictures above show how our fidget spinner evolved. To start, we made a more appealing fidget spinner with rounded wings instead of rectangles. To continue, we added a fourth wing to make all the wings symmetrical and added holes to each wing that are able to fit a dime inside. The dimes will act as the fidget spinners weights.
