My name is Sophia and I currently reside in downtown Sao Paulo. I work to represent International organizations and their relations with current affairs. Thankfully, I can afford to own a car and this has kept me from dealing with the poor quality of public transportation that is currently present in Brazil. Since Brazil has implemented strict restrictions on the activities and services available, I only go out for the necessary groceries and essentials. As of now, testing is not encouraged and usually, tests are unavailable and expensive. Overall, I think people will take better care of themselves in regards to hygiene and better care of places and things because Sao Paulo is a city that has everything one would want from a city. Like all cities, Sao Paulo is not perfect and I think more focus should be placed towards fixing issues in regard to health, education, security, and unemployment.
“Covid certainly changed my routine, specially because my mother used to live at a retirement home (she had dementia) and I could not visit her from March up to September, when she passed away (not related with covid).”
