My name is Adriana and I live in the Capão Redondo district in São Paulo, Brazil.I am a superior art teacher with a son at public university who is experiencing virtual classes rather than face-to-face classes and that whole situation is sad. I usually move around the city in my car but traffic has gotten worse so I also use the metro during less public times. When I do travel it is to teach face-to-face to students who have gotten tested or are isolated, and I also give virtual classes. There is no face-to-face entertainment in Sao Paulo, but my family and I did have a picnic in a square that was labeled as safe. Most public places require that people always wear a mask and only part of the space can be occupied. Testing began at a price of R $150 ($28 USD) but had now been made free for a few days at a mall parking lot. Sadly, I think people will forget the trauma that this pandemic has caused and society might not change from what I have seen and experienced in Sao Paulo.
