The proceedings that took place at the Virginia Ratifying Convention in 1787 and 1788 can perhaps be looked back upon as one of the most critical points in American history. The Founding Fathers knew the Articles of Confederation needed to be reformed and thus drafted the United States Constitution in 1787.
