About Us

Established in the fall of 1999, JMU STC offers students unique opportunities to network with other JMU STC members, obtain professional contacts, gain recognition for their work, and learn more about the technical communication field.

Mission Statement

STC serves its members by identifying and promoting the best practices in the field and by demonstrating the economic value delivered by technical communicators. By providing lifelong learning opportunities, we help our members develop their skills and competencies so that they may advance in a variety of career paths.
