After almost 4 years advising JMU student organization National Society of Minorities in Hospitality chapter (NSMH), in 2016 I was happy to pass this role to a colleague; in 2017 co-founded with an international student the JMU collegiate chapter of the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) which was recognized as the national chapter of year in 2019.
