Chief Joseph

Native American Chief in the northwest region of North America

Chief Joseph was originally from an area called Wallowa in the northwest region of North America. Chief Joseph’s home was taken by settlers who wanted to use the land. Eventually a treaty had to be signed between Chief Joseph’s people and the settlers. Because of the other Native Americans didn’t agree with this decision a war broke and many Native Americans had died. Being forced out of his homeland, Chief Joseph made campaigns to get his land back. He had many supporters, but he didn’t get his land back.
