Early in the morning, several group members woke up extra early to watch the sunrise. After breakfast, we left the Seronera Lodge, and drove back through the Serengeti on the way to Ngorongoro Crater. Along the way we saw so much: lions that were so close to our safari car, elephants, and the Masai people and their villages.
The view of the crater was absolutely breathtaking and we were able to drive down the mountains into the Crater, where the surroundings turned into a rainforest! At the base of the Crater, we were able to lift the roof of the Jeep so we could enjoy the view standing up!
The Ngorongoro Crater was fascinating because there is only one way out and one way in. All the animals that live there will only be able to travel to one end of the Crater and back, but will never leave.
In the evening, we arrived at the Kudu Lodge, we were given warm towels to clean off the Safari dust, cold juice and the Lodge was in the middle of what looked like a rainforest. We had a candle lit dinner with warm food and plenty dessert options to fill us up for the long drive ahead the next day to Moshi.
