Saturday morning was an early day for those of us who landed in Amsterdam. Our red-eye flight left everyone exhausted but our excitement for taking on a new country kept us going. We started off our day by checking into our hotel room, which included five single beds — something that might be considered rare to come across in the United States. The hotel was in the perfect location which allowed us to experience a lot of the environment. After checking in, we took our concierge’s suggestion and headed to a local lunch place called “Blum”. The food was remarkable– lots of yummy sandwiches and espresso. Later in the evening, we decided to book a canal tour in an attempt to get a better view of the city since it was such a quick stop. Each of us LOVED the tour and would consider it our favorite part of the day. Following the tour, we headed for a late dinner at a restaurant called “Cau”. A dinner full of Argentinian steak and chicken sandwiches hit the spot after a long day. By the end of the trip, each of us found ourselves eager to come back and visit. Amsterdam is definitely a place we would all recommend to anyone!
