Why is the Japanese Communist Party (JCP) the most successful western Communist party? The influence of buddhist socialism has been present within Japanese History. The roots of history help the people remember, and there is a history of working class suppression. Starting in the Meiji era, the working class has been undercut by the Japanese Oligarchs. While leading into the Russo-Japanese War, the oligarchs exposed the proletariat in man power and food supply. The desire for socialism, and a fair shot at success, has been extremely desired within Japanese history.
