The Nazi experimentation was horrid. Throughout their experiments, they tortured and killed many people. Some of the experiments had aspects of a scientific study, but only partially, but many experiments, especially those from Dr. Mengele had no scientific backing and were only meant to kill. The Nuremberg Code set up ethical guidelines to follow and in turn, this allowed them to punish the Nazis. However, the allied powers were also conducting similar experiments, before, during, and after WWII. Despite this, they only punished the Nazis, but were unwilling to hold their own scientists accountable. This is most likely due to the fact, they were the victors and therefore, they were not in the wrong and had no intention of fixing their own unethical experiments.
