Abstract: The lost generation of writers was affected heavily by World War I. Many authors, artists, and poets found themselves in Paris in the post war 1920’s. after seeing the best of the generation lost during the war the remainder that made it home was marked heavily by ptsd. I look at how the style of writing and the themes analyzed by certain novelists and poets is indicative of the events that shaped their lives.
