05/24/18 – Today we had another day at clinical. Getting to the hospital at 8am has been a little tough but is slowly getting together. I got to see lots of the same patients and familiarized myself with some more with hospital system including programs like their EMR. Our group all finished around 1pm and we got together to go out to La Rambla for some food. My food came out late but Amazingly we hustled to our university of URV and even made it with some time to spare for our JMU class which included learning about various statistics of Catalunya and how things came to be here along with some of their customary traditions.
After our JMU class, we had a special day because it was the last day of Spanish class. We met up with our professors and had a sessions with games and a little goodbye part with small snacks. We got out a bit early because we had a cooking class scheduled. This is where we met Clive, a Canadian chef, who lived in the UK, drafted by an NHL team until injury, worked on a boat, traveled the world and set up a shop in Tarragona. He taught how to make some great tapas with a great sense of humor. All in all, it was a great way to spend the day!
