Music Special Collections consists of unique collections of materials, many of which can only be found at JMU. Some collections, especially those that are manuscript and score intensive like the Marianne Perkins, Paul Lavalle and Gena Brancombe collections require special permission to use.
Many audio and video recordings, including the JMU Performance collection are available to stream online. Others may only be viewed/listened to in library. You may not “check out” the recordings. Scholars and performers may request a duplication of materials under certain conditions.
