Drone Detection
Our hack: How might we physically disrupt (i.e., destroy the aircraft in flight or disable its ability to maintain lift) Group 1 and Group 2 UAS for dismounted troops to protect them from UAS threats?
MEET THE TEAM
Brooke Blaney
This site is from a JMU class project in 2016. Brooke Blaney was a sophomore Writing Rhetoric and Technical Communication major at James Madison University at the time. She is double minoring in Legal Spanish and Environmental Studies and is in the Pre-Law program. Brooke is hoping to attend law school after she graduates for either immigration or environmental law.
Bailey Swayne
Bailey is a junior Computer Science student at JMU with a Math and Robotics Minor. Growing up he was involved in several robotics teams and was Captain of his High Schools Robotics Team senior year. He is currently in the process of building several Smart Robots to aid in everyday life.
Annarose Lemba
Annarose is a sophomore Health Science (concentration in Public Health) and Nursing major at James Madison University. She is originally from Bergen County, New Jersey. After she graduates college, she is hoping to work for a non-profit company and then eventually, settle into a hospital’s pediatric department.
Matthew Bors-Koefoed
Matthew is a Senior Engineering Major at JMU with a focus in Mechanics and Material Sciences. His passion for this subject of study originally stemmed from a love of cars and he hopes to someday work designing them.
Jack O'Neil
Originally from Annapolis, Maryland, Jack O’Neill is an Intelligence Analysis major at James Madison University with a concentration in national security. He is an aspiring data scientist with experience in data mining and visualizing big data. His passions outside of academia includes cybersecurity interests, startups, playing piano and finding solutions to difficult problems.
