Our Hack’s Evolution.
The following post is a library of our prototypes presented in class. From our first sketches to our augmented reality pitches, this page is designed to highlight our prototype evolution. Each Minimum Viable Product is interactive. Click on the screen and move around on the Minimum Viable Product at your own pace. At the bottom of this page is a quick gallery of all our Minimum Viable Products on file.
Current Minimum Viable Product (MVP): 3 & 4
MVP 3 – Presenting the digital layer –Digital Social Media Modifier (DSMM)
MVP 3 is an evolution of the real-time prototype in v2 . Prototype 3 attempts to show network and cyber status (i.e. if the cyber presence has been compromised or hacked).

MVP 3 Key (not color coded)
The DSSM is meant to provide a snapshot of the unit’s existence within a cyber realm. Following are two possible implications of its use.
Example 1: DSSM shows that this friendly unit is in fairly good standing on social media with some public communication. It has a fairly standard unit signal footprint. It also tells the commander that he must be aware that his unit is vulnerable to DDoS and has possesses two types of personal devices that make the unit more vulnerable to cyber attacks. The indicator ring signifies that while enemy cyber assets are present on this system, they are unable to do any damage.
Example 2: DSSM shows that this enemy unit is highly regarded in this area on social media with minimum outward communication. The unit is running with outdated firmware on it’s equipment, telling the commander that there may be other cyber vectors to exploit. The indicator ring in this case signifies that friendly cyber forces have access to the enemy’s sensors, location, and have the ability to cut, intercept, or spoof enemy communications. However, the cyber forces are unable to access the data on the enemy unit’s system.
MVP 4: Displaying the Z axis
In order to display the digital layer of the battlefield for the operational military level Prototype 4 attempts to use the 3rd dimension. Using simple shapes and textures to convey windows of opportunity (hole size), presence/strength (shape size), danger (texture/points) and alerts (colors).
Past MVP:
MVP 1 – Depicting the 5 domains.
MVP 2 – Showing a realtime digital footprint.
This is the over time indicator. It can show upload/download over a 24-hour or other time period. It can also be used to show social media activity about a subject over time as well.
