CALCC 2019

Thank You

The 2019 conference has come and gone, and we can’t thank everyone enough who attended and helped make it a success.

We hope to see you all again in 2021!

CALCC, March 29-30, 2019

The College of Arts and Letters Career Conference is designed to create a coordinated and unified experience to help students explore, prepare for, and pursue the wide range of career opportunities available with a liberal arts degree. In addition, the conference seeks to recognize the value of a liberal arts education, celebrate the success of our students and alumni, and provide opportunities for building connections among alumni, students, faculty, and staff throughout the College of Arts and Letters at James Madison University. Held biennially in the Spring Semester, this two-day conference features events such as panels, workshops, networking lunches, and receptions.

The first College of Arts and Letters Career Conference, Liberal Arts on the Working World: Insights from Alumni, held on March 24-25, 2017 was a success, meeting and exceeding the conference goals and objectives. Over 200 students, 70 Faculty and 50 Alumni participated in this two-day conference, which offered 12 different panels on Friday (some with multiple sections) and 4 distinct workshops (offered twice each) on Saturday morning.

This conference offers ways to strengthen connections and relationships among alumni, future and current students, and faculty within the college, and affirms the value the College of Arts and Letters places on alumni relationships.
