PARADISE, Calif.,- The Pink Panthers pulled away early from the Boston Fourth Quarter, and held on to win the matchup, by a score of 88.02 to 62.86. The victory improved the Pink Panthers record to 5-2, good enough for 4th in the league, and second place in the Waterboy division. The Fourth Quarter fell to a dismal 1-6 record, good for last place in the Waterboy division.
Strong performances from QB Josh Allen, who threw for 323 yards, and 3 total touchdowns, good for 21.02 points, and Brian Thomas Jr., who caught 5 passes for 89 yards and a TD, good for 22.10 points, carried the Pink Panthers to a much needed week 7 victory. Despite a few key contributors seemingly invisible on the field on Sunday, like Tank Dell (0.00 points) and Diontae Johnson (2.70 points), the Pink Panthers depended on their core to get the victory late. Recent pickup Najee Harris had a great game Sunday, rushing for 102 yards and a touchdown in the win, gaining 16.20 points and securing the victory for Paradise.
The 5-2 Pink Panthers head into Silverbeach next week to verse the 3-4 Guardians, to try and maintain their playoff hopes going into the second half of the season. On the other hand, the 1-6 Boston Fourth Quarter hosts the 3-4 Harrisonburg Hornets next week, hoping to secure their second victory of the season.
