CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Chattanooga Chimpanzees beat the Columbus Commanders for their 4th win in a row in their Week 5 matchup.
The Chimpanzees have been consistent and surged ahead with a 67.74-point lead on Sunday afternoon with a solid 107.34 to 95.40 victory over the Columbus Commanders. The game was powered by standout performances from WR DJ Moore, who scored two touchdowns and 27.50 points, and RB Chuba Hubbard, who contributed 17.50 points.
The Chimpanzees are 4-1 with 566.60 points as they climb to third place in the standings, while the Commanders at 1-4 and 507.98 points sadly slide to 12th after their third consecutive loss. Both teams had room for improvement, with Chattanooga leaving one starter scoreless and Columbus having two players with zero points.
WR Marvin Harrison Jr. of Chattanooga had a frustrating outing, hauling in just two catches of his seven targets. Columbus, on the other hand, may regret benching (WR-Columbus) Allen Lazard, who could have made a game-changing difference if he’d played in place of either Davante Adams or Malik Nabers.
Chattanooga Chimpanzees are now heading to Silverbeach to face the Guardians (2-3, 433.08) in their Week 6 matchup.
