The Toronto Mounties Drop Fifth Loss in a Row
ORLANDO – The Mounties’ offense put up a strong fight in the 141.04-126.68 loss against the Orlando Crocodiles. Newly acquired quarterback Davis Mills put up 34.08 in his debut, which led the team.
The game’s real story was Crocodiles’ QB Joe Burrow, who put up 71.24 fantasy points. He threw for 481 yards and three receiving touchdowns.
“He had a great game,” said General Manager Haden Raymer. “It sucks that it happened to us, but there is only so much you can do.”
Overall the Mounties had strong performances from a few players. Wide receiver Tyler Boyd and running back Aaron Jones both stepped up without WR Cooper Kupp.
The most glaring holes, defense and depth, are already being addressed. “We have a few holes that have been losing us games. We will be addressing them in order to end this skid,” said Raymer.
The Toronto Mounties are now 2-5 on the year. The Mounties will face off against the Boise Spuds at home for week eight. The Spuds have a 4-3 record.
