Week 7: Joe Burrow lights up the field

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Orlando Crocodiles defeated the Toronto Mounties with a 14.36-point lead in their most recent match-up. The Orlando Crocodiles played a tough game and came out on top with a 141.04-126.68 point win this past Monday, Oct 24. While Josh Allen led Orlando Crocodiles in Week 6 with 40.36 points, Burrow paved the way this week with 71.24.

Quarterback Joe Burrow had a dominating performance this week with 481 passing yards, 20 rushing yards, and 1 rushing touchdown. Burrow provided the team a record 71.24 points on his own. While he has a long way to go before the Crocodiles are viewed as one of the best teams right now, he certainly made his mark on Sunday.

“It felt good, we were rolling in the first half and a little in the second. We didn’t score on two of the drives, but it was a pretty good game. Obviously, you’d like to score on every single possession, and I thought we could have, so we left some out there. Overall, a great complete effort and we’re starting to find a rhythm as an offense,” said Burrow at the press conference following the win.

After dropping their last five matchups, Toronto Mounties has fallen apart. Toronto Mounties was led by Davis Mills with 34.08 points and Tyler Boyd, who scored 33.50. Toronto Mounties (2-5, 815.56 points) drops to 12th place and Orlando Crocodiles (5-2, 909.44 points) remains in fourth place.

Pickens made a catch every time he was targeted, including one in the redzone, and finished with six receptions for 61 yards and a TD to score 18.10 points. Schultz made a catch every time he was targeted, including one in the redzone, and finished with five receptions for 49 yards to score 9.90 points.

In week 8 the Crocodiles move on to play the Mexico City Manatees at Estadio Azteca.
