ST. LOUIS – The St. Louis Bison defeated the Austin Roadrunners 138.48 to 115.84 in their fifth game of the season which brings their record to 5-0.
A rally on Monday Night Football (44.94 points, 39% of their total score) wasn’t enough for Austin Roadrunners, as St Louis Bison earned the 138.48 to 115.84 victory. The late-match efforts were impressive, considering their pregame projections only called for 25.18 points on Monday night. St Louis Bison was led by Davante Adams (124 Rec Yds, 2 TD). The Las Vegas WR scored two touchdowns and contributed 31.40 points to the game. RB Breece Hall also contributed greatly to the overall score for the Bison, bringing in 116 yards and one touchdown which contributed 28.70 points to the cause. St Louis Bison played one starter with zero points while Austin Roadrunners also served up one goose egg, meaning each team left something on the table. Austin Roadrunners (3-2, 658.46 points) dropped to fifth place, while St Louis Bison (5-0, 702.58 points) remained in second place.
During this week’s game, lead scorer Davante Adams is faced possible suspension for pushing a camera operator. More updates to come, but this is what Adams had to say on the subject.
“Before I answer anything else I want to apologize to the guy, some guy running off the field, and he ran and jumped in front of me coming off the field and I bumped into him and kind of pushed him and he ended up on the ground.”
The Austin Roadrunners had one fairly noteworthy starter that missed out on some opportunities. Despite being targeted nine times, Deebo Samuel could only manage two catches.
St Louis Bison will take on Toronto Mounties (2-3, 608.76) next week, while Austin Roadrunners face Orlando Crocodiles (3-2, 625.94).
