SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – In Week 8, the Salt Lake City River Otters defeated the Sacramento Salamanders with the final score of 139.30 to 112.60.
The River Otters were led by running back, Jonathan Taylor, and wide receiver, Mike Evans. Taylor achieved one touchdown scoring for the River Otters 21.20 points with 52 receiving yards. Evans scored a 41-yard touchdown, receiving 48 yards for the River Otters, scoring 13.80 points.
The Sacramento Salamanders wide receiver, Adam Thielen, received 78 yards scoring one touchdown, scoring 19.80 points. Besides Thielen touchdown, the Salamanders could not hold off the River Otters. Running back of the Salamanders, James Robinson scored 4.90 points by scoring one touchdown, which was not enough to win against the River Otters.
In a post-game interview, the Quarterback of the River Otters, Ryan Tannehill, commented on his team’s success.
“I have so much courage for our team to go out there and be victorious. Each week during practice, we have come together and had a new vision to turn our season around to be successful. We are looking forward to next week as we play the Cougars, and we just got to get back at it to be on top.”
The Salt Lake City River Otter’s record this season advancing to 2-5.
The River Otter’s will stay home in Salt Lake City as they face the 1-6 Salt Lake City Cougars.
