SAN DIEGO, CA – San Diego Sea Lions continue their losing losing streak against the Salt Lake City River Otters, brining their steak to a loss in the last four games. By dinner time Sunday it was quite clear that Salt Lake City had secured the win, with a 138.90 – 111.34 final score.

Among the top performers of the weekend, running back D’Andre Swift recorded 31.40 points for the Sea Lions, running for 48 yards on 13 carries Sunday. Another notbale performance on behalf of the Sea Lions was Wide Receiver Chris Godwin recording 26.10 points this weekend, brining in 8 of 11 targets recording 111 yards and a touchdown.

Even with two stellar performances by Swift and Godwin, the effort was still not enough to beat Salt Lake City. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill completed 21 of 27 pass attempts, totaling in 270 yards, which assisted in brining in 34.40 points for the River Otters. However, the key difference for the River Otters was Wide Receiver Mike Evans added 31.60 points brining in 6 of 10 targets for 76 yards, and additionally recording three touchdowns Sunday.

At the post-game press conference, Head coach Michael Damico noted one key observation and area of improvement for future games

“Week to week roster management, that is where we need to focus our efforts, forfeiting points that could change the outcome of the week”

Next week, the Sea Lions face the Charleston Cadets at home in Sony Stadium.
