LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Long Beach Sharks added yet another loss to their record against the Harrisonburg Valley Bees in Week 4 of the 2021 season. The Bees took home the victory with 137.50 points over the Sharks’ 97.52 points.

Quarterback Dak Prescott led the way with 188 total passing yards, while Trey Lance, QB, followed right behind with 157 total passing yards. As he has in previous weeks, Prescott carried the Sharks with a total of 33.02 points. Running backs Joe Mixon and Tony Pollard both supported the offense with each running for 67 total rushing yards.

While the Harrisonburg Valley Bees QB, Baker Mayfield, did not surpass QBs Prescott and Lance, their running game stepped up to take the lead. The Bees RB, David Montgomery, plowed through the Sharks with 106 total rushing yards and RB, Leonard Fournette, was not far behind with 91 total rushing yards.

Reporters had a moment to catch up with Assistant Head Coach of the Sharks, Robert Barrett, on how the Sharks can try to save their record this week.

“It’s going to be tough to come back from two consecutive losses, but we’re all trying to stay positive and keep our heads up. It’s all about staying focused during practice, reviewing film, and correcting our mistakes for a better outcome.”

QB Trey Lance offered some input on the game as well explaining that “everyone has to work together to get the win.” He further went on to comment that “it’s a group effort here and no one person is able to carry the whole team.”

The Sharks are facing a tough upcoming week, especially with star RB Joe Mixon being placed on the injured list for Week 5. This week’s upcoming game will be the true test of a team effort for the Sharks.

The Long Beach Sharks (1-3-0) will take on the Knoxville Knights (2-2-0) this week. Sharks QB Dak Prescott will have quite the matchup against Knights QB Josh Allen.
