HONOLULU – The Honolulu Riptides (4-0) pull another victory against the Salt Lake City Cougars (0-4) Sunday night, defeating them 177.42 to 77.22, ascending the Riptides to second place in the league.

This was initially thought to be a tough game by many Riptide and Cougar fans with Quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Quarterback Kirk Cousins going head-to-head. However, the 12.12 points scored by Cousins this week showed his lackluster performance in the game and sent him to rank 12th among all QBs. The Riptides played an impressive game, ending with more points than originally projected, preserving their winning streak.

In the post-game press conference, The Riptide’s Head coach, Marley Guilfoyle, stated that QB Mahomes and running back Austin Ekeler led the team to triumph.

“Mahomes played a key factor in our win by securing five passing touchdowns and 278 passing yards, scoring 50.72 points. He played a big game alongside RB Ekeler who pulled through with 117 rushing yards, one rushing touchdown, and one receiving touchdown scoring us another 30.50 points. We couldn’t have asked for a better game.”

The Honolulu Riptides will be going head-to-head with the Orange Alligators next week. It will be a nail-biting matchup as the Riptides are projected 117.05 points and Alligators projected 119.92 points.
