SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Coming into the week with an early losing streak, the Salt Lake City River Otters suffered their another loss of the year to the Orange Alligators, 121.32-136.66, on Sunday.
With an excellent performance from the running back Jonathan Taylor, who rushed for 103 yards, 1 rush touchdown (21.4 pts), and Chase Edmonds who rushed for 120 yards and had 19 receiving yards (18.9 pts), the River Otters still lost by 15 points.
After another rough week, the River Otters quarterback Ryan Tannehill states during the post-game conference, “We gotta come back and get ready to go to work by playing with all we got in order for us to execute.”
The matchup between the two well known quarterbacks was an interesting one. Tannenhill scored over double the amount of points that Tom Brady did: 29.82-12.06.
The Orange Alligators’ defensive team came out on top with a 17 point lead over the River Otters’ defensive team: 16-23.
The loss brought the Salt Lake City River Otters’ record to 0-4, a thorough losing streak. “It was a tough loss so expect to see some major changes,” said Nick Saban, River Otters’ head coach.
The Salt Lake City Otters are set to play the Harrisonburg Valley Bees next Sunday at 8 p.m.
