ORLANDO, Fla.  – The Orcas soundly defeated the Jokers in Las Vegas this week by a final score of 179.34 to 162.56.  The team took an early lead with Quarterback Tom Brady putting up 38.92 points, while Wide Receiver Amari Cooper scored a game high 44.60 of his own, leaving the team with a comfortable lead for the rest of the game.

With Quarterback Drew Brees still recovering from injury, it was imperative that Brady have a bounce-back week after a not so good performance.  Brady took to the task, throwing for 348 yards, 3 touchdowns, and a single interception.

After the game, Brady said, “that felt like a home game,” when speaking to the number of fans cheering for them on the road.  Having our fans travel so well was a key part in the success of the team, especially with a relatively poor showing at home last week, “it’s good to come down here and get a win in front of them.”

General Manager Peter Krohn said, “it’s great to see the team come back from a poor week, it really shows our resilience and I think proved just how good we can really be.”

While Brady and Cooper both had a great outing, the rest of the team did not disappoint.  Wide Receiver Tyler Lockett and Running Back Alvin Kamara put up 17.6 and 17.92 points respectively, combining for over 100 yards of offense and two touchdowns.

On top of a solid offensive performance, the Orcas defense did not disappoint.  While allowing 20 points, they had three sacks, one interception, forced one fumble, and returned one for a touchdown.

The Orcas will face the 2-3 Long Beach Ligers next week, who are coming off of a Week 5 win without kicker Stephen Gostkowski, who will have season ending surgery on his left hip.
