LINCOLN, NE – The Lincoln Logs won their first contest of the year led by Running Back Christian McCaffrey and Flex Quarterback Lamar Jackson. The two combined for 96.46 of the teams 182. 96 points.
McCaffrey led the way on the ground rushing for 128 yards and 81 receiving yards. He also tagged on two touchdowns on the day, which gave him a total of 43.90 points.
Lamar Jackson had a day to remember as well, passing for 324 yards and five touchdowns. The usually running heavy quarterback, only rushed for six yards and found most of his success in the air. Jackson finished the day with 52.56 points for the Lincoln Logs.
“Offensive line did a great job, I barely had pressure, receivers did a great job getting open, catching the ball, scoring touchdowns, that’s what it’s all about and that’s what we did today,” said Jackson.
The Logs win puts them on top of the league in first place. The Logs General Manager, Nathan Khaligh, had a lot to say about the success the team had this week.
“We’re happy with the way our team performed and hopefully we can keep that momentum going for next week’s matchup,” said Khaligh.
