Orlando Octopi Lend a Helping Hand Toward Hurricane Relief

ORLANDO, Fla. – Hurricane season is upon us. Hurricane Woo has swept the Orlando area, accumulating over 200 million dollars in damages. The Orlando Octopi has taken it upon themselves to start collecting donations for hurricane victims. In order to spread the word and kick start the donation drive, the Octopi will be hosting a charity event at the Ocean Stadium where volunteers will be able to meet the players and donate items to the cause.

Head Coach John Brown noted “we want to get as many people as possible to come out to the Ocean and donate so we can fight this together as a team and as a community”.

The Orlando Octopi is proud to team up with local businesses to help the people who were affected by Hurricane Woo. There will be bins placed right outside the doors of local businesses for people to drop off their donations. Cashiers will also be asking patrons if they would like to donate a few dollars to the cause upon check out. The Octopi are excited about this partnership and are committed to collecting as many donations as possible for the victims of Woo.

Watch out for the Octopi’s hashtag #OctopiforOrlando that will be used to raise awareness and participation among the community. The Octopi will also be handing out stickers with the hashtag on it for people who donate to the cause as a way of showing their appreciation.

Please join the Octopi in their efforts to help the Orlando community recover from the damage.
