Octopi for Orlando, Come Out to Support Your Community

ORLANDO, Fla – In the wake of Hurricane Woo, the Orlando Octopi organization, players, and coaches will host a philanthropic event titled “Octopi for Our Community” on Saturday, November 27th, 2019. The event will take place inside the Ocean Stadium at 456 Octopi Drive and will begin at 12 noon and continue until 10 p.m.

“During times like these, the Orlando Octopi stand with the city of Orlando and the entire state of Florida,” said team owner, Matt Hansen, “our organization seeks to serve as a resource for the community and we hope that this event will inspire others to help as well.” In addition to player photo ops and an opportunity to tour the field, fans who attend and bring a donation will be able to watch a live performance by Jason Derulo, a Florida native.

Local Orlando businesses will also be taking part. Throughout the weeks leading up to the November event, each participating business will be given a donation bin to collect food, clothes and other non-perishables. There will be donation bins and representation from the American Red Cross at Ocean Stadium on the day of the event. Families in need are encouraged to attend and will be given complimentary food, water and blankets.

“We are really looking forward to reaching out and helping members of the community who may be in need after Hurricane Woo,” said player Deshaun Watson. Admission to the event is free but donations are encouraged.
