Suns Look to Bounce Back After a Tough Game 5 Loss

Game Recap (10/8/18)

The Suns lost a tough one against the Austin Atmosphere this past Monday. QB Cam Newton provided the Suns with 22.38 points as he threw for 237 passing yards, had 29 rushing yards, and 2 touchdowns while WR DeAndre Hopkins lead the team in receiving yards at 151 providing the team with 22.10 points. However, their strong performances weren’t enough as Austin’s QB Kirk Cousins threw for 301 passing yards and one touchdown that caused him to score 37.14 points and RB David Johnson scored 21.10 points after rushing 55 yards and scoring two touchdowns.

 

Despite the loss, the Suns remain in 11th place with a 1-4 record for the season.

Matchup Preview versus Louisville Lions (5-0)

  • The Memphis Suns are projected to beat the Louisville Lions 120.50-92.31
  • WR DeAndre Hopkins is expected to have another big game as he is projected to score 20.06 pooints
  • This will be a good matchup to see who can lead their team’s offense better as Memphis’ QB Cam Newton, projected to score 18.52 points, and Louisville’s QB Ben Roethlisberger, projected to score 19.51 points, go head to head in this weeks matchup.
  • Widerecievers Christian McCaffery, Cooper Kupp, and Tyler Boyd are all expected to have a big game for the Suns this week as they are projected to combine for 52.28 points.
  • WR DeAndre Hopkins is on pace to finish the season with 125 receptions for 1,900 yards.
