Game Recap- Omaha vs. Honolulu, 10.7.2018

The Ohama Goldenrods kept their momentum this weekend against the Honolulu Hammerheads, with a 154.56- 141.34 victory. The Goldenrods are now 5-0 placing them again at 1st in the league.

Omaha started two of the league’s top-10 QB’s. Starting QB Andrew Luck led the way for the Goldenrods again this week, completing 38 out of 59 pass attempts and totaling 365 passing yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions Thursday. Omaha’s second QB in the flex position, Philip Rivers, also came to impress, scoring 22 out of 27 pass attempts with a total of 339 yards and two touchdowns Sunday. Honolulu’s QB Jared Goff had a total of 321 passing yards and 23 of 32 passes with only one touchdown and two interceptions. He also added five carries for 15 yards. On the brighter side the Hammerhead’s WR, Adam Thielen, topped 100 yards for the fifth straight game this weekend. He caught 7 of 10 targets for 116 yards and a touchdown Sunday. The Hammerhead’s line-up wasn’t quite good enough to end Omaha’s winning streak. The Hammerhead’s were unable to gain a lead throughout the entire game which results in their first loss of the season and places them at number 3 in the division. This marks the 5th win of the season thus far for the Goldenrods, up next week they’ll challenge the San Diego Jack Rabbits.
