The Chickadees Dominate The Fuegos with Record Breaking Score – Week #5 Game Note #2

Game Recap

The Chattanooga Chickadees came out on top for the second week in a row beating the Fresno Fuegos by a record breaking 80.6 points. QB Carson Wentz scored the most points for the Chickadees, tallying 46.26 points and accounting for 304 passing yards, 4 touchdown connections and 11 rushing yards. The Chickadees’s RB Leonard Fournette amassed 35.40 points surpassing the competitor’s RB Kareem Hunt who only scored 15.60 points. WR Dez Bryant made an incredible 10-yard touchdown haul, earning him 16.20 points for the Chickadees. As for the defense, the Chickadees and Fuegos had a fairly even playing field, both getting 1 sack, 2 interceptions and 1 fumble each. QB Jameis Winston also had a great game for the Chicks, accounting for 334 passing yards, 1 touchdown throw and 11 rushing yards, earning him 23.46 points. With a final score of 186.22 to 105.62, it is no secret that the Chickadees are better than ever.

 

Matchup Preview vs. Honolulu Honey Badgers

  • The Chattanooga Chickadees will be taking on the Honolulu Honey Badgers in week 6
  • Honolulu is currently 1-4 while Chattanooga is 2-3, giving Chattanooga the upper hand
  • It is projected that the Chickadees will win in next week’s game by more than 40 points
  • The Chickadee’s QB Jameis Winston will have to be on his A-game next week as he is projected to surpass the Honey Badger’s QB, Philip Rivers by 2 points
  • QB Carson Wentz will also have to play his best as he is forecast to score 4.02 points less than Honolulu’s QB Matthew Stafford
  • RB Leonard Fournette is projected to score 17.24 points less than he did in this weeks game
  • The Honey Badger’s TE Rob Gronkowski and WR Pierre Garcon did not participate in practice leading up to game 6

 

Chattanooga Chickadees Season Notes

  • Due to a Hamstring injury, J.J. Nelson was is having limited participation in practice this week
  • Frank Gore did not participate in practice during the previous week but he did play and scored 9.60 points for the Chickadees, he is no longer injured for week 6
  • Leonard Fournette currently has limited participation in practice but is expected to play in week 6
  • The aftermath of Hurricane Nate has forced Chattanooga to cancel several events from last weekend, such as the Chattanooga Pride Parade and the City Celebration and Ciclovia, which were both rescheduled for Oct. 29th 
  • Chattanooga Firefighters gathered at Fireman’s Fountain on Monday morning to kick off Fire Prevention Week in Chattanooga. Mayor Andy Berke and Fire Marshal William Matlock led the ceremony and honored several firefighters who have lost their lives over the past year.
  • Flu shots are being administered at clinics around Chattanooga to prevent citizens from catching this illness that has been an issue for Chattanooga residents in the past
