Game Recaps
The Spades lost their undefeated title as they fall to the Honolulu Rock’s 161.48-186.76 this past Sunday in Las Vegas, Nevada. With the Spades’ first string QB Drew Brees out on a bye week, it was going to prove to be a tough week. With backup quarterback Deshaun Watson taking charge with five touchdowns and 261 yards giving the Spades a strong start with 37.54 points. Where things seemed to go wrong was with RB Todd Gurley who struggled to only get 43 yards and fumbled a play and scoring a measly four points. The other RB Jay Ajayi struggled again this week with only rushing 77 yards and fumbling the ball costing him only 6.90 points. Wide receiver Antonio Brown tried to help the Spades by receiving 157 yards, but other WR Travis Kelce couldn’t help much with only receiving 98 yards. The most valuable player of the week for the Spades was Dak Prescott who threw for three touchdowns, over 251 yards and a total of 42.74 points. This however wasn’t enough to put the Spades over the Rocks.
