Virginia Beach Neptunes Season Notes

  • Andrew Luck will not return this week as he continues to heal from a shoulder injury.
  • Ty Montgomery was a full participant in Tuesday’s practice. His full involvement seems to imply that his wrist won’t stop him from playing in next week’s game.
  • As Tropical Storm Maria passes through the area, the ocean conditions are incredibly dangerous and Virginia Beach officials suggest swimmers and surfers to stay out of the water in order to keep first-responders out of danger.
  • Virginia Beach’s Neptune Festival is on for this weekend – even with strong winds and grey skies, setup has begun, including the sand sculpting competition.
  • A North Carolina man faces life in prison after being found guilty of stabbing a Virginia Beach man during a road rage incident in April.
  • Norfolk’s first Ikea was originally slated to arrive next summer, but now appears to be arriving later in 2019.
