Fresno Fuegos Ignite Scoring 177 points against Moose – Week 2 Game Note 1

Game Recap

The Fresno Fuegos had a stellar week two defeating the Madison Moose 177.48 – 97.64. The leading scorer on the Fuegos was Tom Brady who put up an impressive 56.78 points, while throwing for 447 yards and three touchdowns. It was a good comeback for Brady after scoring only 6.68 points in week one. Both of the Fuegos running backs contributed strongly with C.J. Anderson scoring 31.4 and Kareem Hunt totaling 28.90 points. Starting wide-receiver Odell Beckham Jr. had a quiet game putting up only 7.6 points, however he was limited on the field having just returned from an ankle injury. Unfortunately, star wide-receiver Jordy Nelson was sidelined on the first drive of the game after he suffered an injury to his quadriceps. The extent of Nelson’s injury will remain unclear until later in the week. Marcus Mariota and Jordan Reed also contributed 16 points and 9.8 respectively. Ultimately, despite scoring only a combined 7.6 points between both starting wide-outs, Fresno was still able to score the week’s highest total of points behind strong performances from Brady, Hunt, and Anderson.
