Game Recaps

The Honolulu Honeybadgers were trailing by 50 points to the Honolulu Rocks up until Monday night when Melvin Gordon scored 18.9 points. The Honolulu Rocks Alex Smith had 28 completed passes and 368 yards, scoring 4 touchdowns and 59.02 points, which brought them ahead of the Honeybadgers 135.56 to 100.68. The Rocks quarterback Cam Netwon threw two touchdowns and 14 completed passdowns, added to the Rocks score with 16.14 points. Honeybadger’s quarterback Matthew Stafford threw four touchdowns and 292 yards with 29 completed passes, scoring 45.08 points. Ezekial Elliott’s six game suspension will begin after week one after investigations of domestic violence were upheld in court. Elliot rushed 104 yards, scoring 20 points for the Honeybadger’s. Overall, the Honeybadgers could not get a win over the Rocks due to the high scores produced by the Rocks team.

  • Honeybadgers are projected to score 129.46 points against the Las Vegas Spades 98.41
  • Drew Brees of the Spades completed 27 of 37 passes for 291 yards vs Philip Rivers of Honeybadger 23 of 32 passes for 192 yards in week one, each predicted to score 16-18 points
  • Jay Ajayi of the Spades and Jarvis Landry, wide receiver for the Honeybagers both had a bye week one due to unexpected complicated from Hurricane Irma, and are projected to score 14.45 and 15.26
  • Spades Wide Receiver Cooper Kupp suffered from a groin injury during preseason training, which has lingering soreness, causing very low projections in week two with only 4.30 points.
  • Rob Grownkowski had a lower week one score than projected due to officials overturning what appeared to be a diving touchdown in the first quarter, but is projected to score 14.55 in week two
